COLBERT LICENSES PATENTED BLISTERGUARD PACKAGE TO ROHRER
Award-Winning BlisterGuard, an Environmentally Friendly Alternative to Plastic Clamshells, Offers Unmatched Security and Visual Appeal
for High-Value Products

Through its enhanced security features and high printability, Colbert's BlisterGuard packaging delivers high visual appeal and state-of-the-art security at a substantially lower cost than plastic clamshell packaging. BlisterGuard utilizes a specialty board for tear resistance, resulting in built-in security against tampering and pilferage. Primarily paper-based, BlisterGuard's large printable area gives manufacturers better shelf presentation for their products. It is less costly than traditional RF sealed clamshells and poses fewer environmental and recycling issues. BlisterGuard also features a tear-resistant hanger hole that delivers greater durability to retailers.
Leading companies throughout the country and around the world market products using Rohrer's skin packaging sheets, custom form blister cards, combo form blister cards and stretch pak cards. Rohrer's licensing of BlisterGuard enables the award-winning packaging product, first introduced in 2002, to achieve greater market penetration. By working together, the customer reach and production capabilities of Colbert and Rohrer make BlisterGuard available to a broader range of companies in need of a pilfer-resistant, more sustainable and visually appealing packaging solution. Rohrer is already working on deals with several customers whose high-value products are ideal candidates for transitioning from plastic clamshell to BlisterGuard.
