Colbert Packaging Introduces New PharmaGuard Compliance Solution
Based on the Award-Winning BlisterGuard Specialty Package, PharmaGuard Promotes Patient Compliance, Enhances Security and Ensures Sustainability
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Aug. 5, 2008 - Colbert Packaging Corp., a leading manufacturer of folding cartons, rigid paper boxes and paperboard specialty products, today unveiled a new tear-resistant solution for pharmaceutical compliance packages. Based on Colbert's award-winning, patented BlisterGuard® security package, PharmaGuard™ is designed to enhance patient compliance while supporting the child-resistant, senior-friendly and sustainable packaging requirements of drug manufacturers and pharmacies. Colbert is introducing a new family of pharmaceutical compliance packages into the market this year; the new packages can all be enhanced with the PharmaGuard solution for maximum safety and security. PharmaGuard combines all the security benefits offered by an amber bottle into a tear-resistant paperboard package, which can be customized to accommodate a wide range of blister cavities.

PharmaGuard combines Everest Safe-Pak® solid bleached sulfate paperboard from International Paper with multilayer Valéron® Strength Film.
