JIM HAMILTON APPOINTED NEW COLBERT PACKAGING PRESIDENT
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Aug. 4, 2004 - The board of directors of Colbert Packaging Corporation, a leading manufacturer of folding cartons, rigid paper boxes and paperboard specialty products, today announced that they have selected James B. Hamilton as its new president. The change in executive management this week follows the untimely death of the company's former president, Edward J. Baker, who was killed in a tragic car accident last Friday.
Hamilton began his professional career at Colbert Packaging nearly three decades ago. Since 1997, he has served as the executive vice president and a member of the board of directors. He was primarily responsible for overseeing the company's sales, marketing and customer support operations, spanning their four locations. In his new role, Hamilton will exercise leadership over the company's overall strategy and ongoing direction, as Colbert Packaging continues its traditional packaging operations while expanding into new lines of business.
