COLBERT PACKAGING TO UNVEIL NEW BLISTERGUARD PACKAGE AT PACK EXPO INTERNATIONAL 2002
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Sept. 16, 2002 - Colbert Packaging Corporation will introduce BlisterGuard® at PACK EXPO International - Nov. 3-7, 2002 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
BlisterGuard packaging utilizes a specialty board for tear resistance, resulting in a built-in security package that is lower in cost than traditional RF sealed clamshells. It is ideal for heavy products that hang or are stacked either at point of purchase counters or normal aisle shelving. BlisterGuard provides uniformity to comply with retailers' packaging requirements.
"BlisterGuard is designed to offer theft deterrence in most store applications. The package is much safer to open since it is not as sharp as RF sealed clamshells," said Jim Hamilton, executive vice president at Colbert Packaging.
