2008

Colbert launches new line of unit dose compliance packaging including AlertPak™ and ComplyPak™.

2007

Colbert is presented with the Illinois "Sustainable Technology Award" for BlisterGuard and EnviroGuard from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

2007

Rohrer Corporation becomes the first licensee of Colbert's patented BlisterGuard package.

2006

Colbert is awarded its first patent (US 7,051,876 B2) covering the BlisterGuard product line.

2005

Colbert joins the Independent Carton Group, underscoring Colbert's commitment to independent operation, which has been part of the corporate culture since Charles Colbert purchased the company in 1959.

2005

The Paperboard Packaging Council presents Colbert with its 2005 Innovation Award for BlisterGuard's potential impact in the marketplace against plastic packaging.

2004

Colbert acquires the 117-year-old folding carton operation of Barger Packaging Corporation and begins to offer additional folding carton capacity through the plant in Elkhart, Indiana.

2003

PharmaDial receives F=1 child resistance rating, the safest U.S. government rating for pharmaceutical packaging awarded by the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

2002

Colbert introduces PharmaDial, a child-resistant, senior-friendly pharmaceutical compliance package.

2002

New innovative combination packages are introduced by Colbert: Zip-Sert, BoxPocket and BlisterGuard.

2001

Colbert Flexographic fulfills its first order for pressure-sensitive roll labels - a new product line requested by numerous customers.

2000

Colbert moves into a new 90,000 square foot building in South Bend, Indiana, thereby improving manufacturing efficiency and adding contract packaging capabilities.

1998

Colbert Flexographic Corporation is established with operations in Lake Forest, Illinois.

1991

Colbert Packaging purchases William Brothers Paper Box.

1986

Corporate headquarters and folding carton operations are moved into a custom-designed building in Lake Forest, Illinois.

1969

Colbert Packaging purchases Franklin Folding Box Company and moves its folding carton operation to Melrose Park, Illinois.

1968

The company name is changed to Colbert Packaging Corporation.

1959

Charles Colbert purchases Kroeck Paper Box Company. Rigid paper boxes and folding cartons are manufactured at its original location, 1701 W. Superior Street in Chicago.
