Packaging Equipment Delivers Highest Quality
We have always been committed to producing the highest quality packaging for our customers, and to maintain our product quality commitments, we regularly evaluate our manufacturing equipment and occasionally install new equipment. Our production equipment is some of the best available on the market, and we would like to introduce you to some of our newest additions. We've recently installed new equipment at the Lake Forest folding carton facility, including a Mitsubishi Diamond 3000TP, a Bobst ExpertCut 106 Die Cutter and an AVT Orion.

The Mitsubishi Diamond Tandem Perfector offers optimum productivity, print quality and flexibility. Its inline arrangement of multiple printing units enables perfecting to be done in a single pass. The Diamond 3000TP, with its streamlined translink unit connecting front and reverse printing units, takes perfecting to unparalleled levels of print quality and press stability.

Our Bobst ExpertCut is one of several die cutters we use in our manufacturing facilities. It delivers unrivalled versatility, superb productivity and exceptional quality. Bobst is known for its state-of-the-art register systems, intelligent feeders, quick-change tooling and ergonomic-friendly equipment designs. It die cuts with the precision and accuracy you expect from Colbert.

The AVT PrintVision Orion is an exciting new automated visual inspection unit we're in the process of beta testing. It allows us to inspect folding carton blanks for many quality attributes, including print quality, die cut and creasing faults, and more. It inspects at speeds up to 40,000 cartons per hour, automatically collecting the good ones while diverting the defective ones. The AVT Orion supports our long-standing mission of ensuring 100 percent quality inspection.

Other equipment in the Lake Forest plant includes Bobst die cutters, multiple folder gluers, and an assortment of label and finishing machines. Our flexographic printing facility, also located in Lake Forest, houses four Mark Andy printing presses capable of producing cartons or labels and several pieces of label inspection equipment. And the Elkhart, Indiana, plant has a MAN Roland printing press, a Heidelberg press, and complete die cutting and finishing machines.
